Our commitment

Stittsville Garage Doors is committed to making its website and services accessible to people with disabilities, in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done on the website

• Semantic HTML headings, lists, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the site.
• Descriptive alt text on photos of completed jobs so the content is meaningful without images.
• Colour contrast on body text, buttons, and links that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Keyboard-only navigation for the menu, quote form, and all in-page links.
• Visible focus rings on links and form fields.
• Form labels tied to inputs, with clear required-field indication.
• Responsive layout that works at 320 px, 200% zoom, and reflow up to 400%.
• No flashing or auto-playing content.

What we offer over the phone and on site

• You can reach a real human at (613) 777-6401 during all stated hours — no phone tree, no required online form.
• If you cannot use the quote form, call or email and we will collect the same information in whichever way works for you (large-print quote, text message, family-member relay, etc.).
• On-site technicians will take the time to explain the work in plain language, demonstrate any new opener controls, and stay until you are comfortable using the door.
• We can leave large-print written quotes and warranty paperwork on request.

Known limitations

We are continuously improving the site. Areas we are still working on:

• The embedded Google Map on the Contact page is provided by Google and does not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. A text description of our service area is included on the same page.
• Some older photos may have shorter alt text than we would like. We are reviewing and rewriting these batch by batch.
